Who We Are Mission Contact

The Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization that supplies food to hungry people through a network of food assistance programs in Central and Northern New York. We are a certified member of America's Second Harvest, the nationwide network of food banks and food rescue organizations. There are over 575 different food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers, child care and youth programs located throughout the Food Bank's eleven county service area working to help feed the hungry of our communities.

In addition to delivering over 10 million pounds of food to these member programs for distribution to the hungry, Food Bank staff provide food safety and sanitation training, as well as nutrition education. Through the generosity of food donors and financial supporters from government, private foundations, businesses, and individuals, the Food Bank partners with the vast array of community member programs to ensure that hungry people receive essential food supplies.
